Which machine do I need?
- Dust, mold or odor in a big space: the PAS2400 air scrubber, up to 2,100 CFM on a standard 15 A outlet.
- One room or a tight spot: the 44 lb Dri-Eaz HEPA 500. Daisy chain up to three on one circuit.
- Moving air and drying surfaces: a 24 in or 30 in fan.
- Water in the air after a leak or flood: the portable dehumidifier, with fans to speed drying.

How to size an air scrubber
Multiply the room's length, width and ceiling height to get cubic feet. Then multiply the machine's CFM by 60 and divide by that number to get air changes per hour. For example, one PAS2400 at 2,100 CFM in a 50 x 25 ft room with 8 ft ceilings (10,000 cubic feet) gives about 12 air changes per hour. Check the rate your project spec calls for.

What is the difference between an air scrubber and a negative air machine?
It is the same type of machine set up two ways. As an air scrubber it recirculates cleaned air inside the room. As a negative air machine you duct the exhaust outside the work area so the room stays under negative pressure and dust stays inside.
Do air scrubbers need a special outlet?
No. The PAS2400 is ETL certified for a standard 115 V, 15 amp circuit and draws 12 amps or less. The HEPA 500 draws about 3 amps.
